Welcome to the Sailor Moon Reader's Choice Fanfiction Awards!
Here is where Sailor Moon fanfiction fans gather together to show our appreciation for our favourite Sailor Moon fanfiction stories. This contest is all reader's choice, so it's not a panel or a group that decides what is best, but it's determined by all Sailor Moon fanfiction fans. These awards are conducted annually, in a three-step process.
First, we nominate by category our favourites for the year. Each nomination must be seconded by another reader and accepted by the author in order to enter the official voting and competition. Secondly, we open up the voting booth, and all nominations that make official entry are voted on and tallied. Finally, we announce the winners and celebrate. We hope to see all Sailor Moon fanfiction fans participating and reaping the benefits of gathering together to show our appreciation of those who volunteer their time to entertain us with our favourite characters for free each year.

| FYI: Some Changes in the Contest 11 Oct 2006
| Hey everybody, I just wanted to notify you of some major changes in the SMRC starting with the 2006 awards that we are currently taking nominations for.
Firstly, I've added some new categories for the category round and these are very different from our current ones. The new categories are as follows:
Author of the Year – this category is for authors, rather than a story, so you can show how much you appreciate their writing talents.
On-going Fic - this is a special category for stories that are still works in progress. This is the ONLY category that will accept incomplete stories and it accepts all genres.
I've also added three new categories for more technical aspects of writing. These are for stories that blow you away with how well they are written as opposed to simple entertainment value.
Character Development - A story that you feel has the best character development for that year.
Composition - A story you felt had the best composition.
Plot - A story you felt had the best plot.
Secondly, I'm changing the nomination phase for the awards to go past the end of the year deadline. This way stories composed at the end of the year won't be overlooked or missed. We will accept nominations for 2006 until March 31, 2007. Seconds will be until the 14th of April 2007 and authors can accept until April 30th, 2007. Starting with the 2007 awards, I will not accept nominations for the next year until the voting has been completed for the previous year. I'm hoping this will keep the confusion down since there is usually more than one year going on here at the same time and it's a bit much.
I hope you all enjoy these new adjustments. Please let me know if you have ideas of things you would like to see for these awards - after all - they are READER'S CHOICE. ^_^
